121 Guidance for working during COVID19

 IMPORTANT: You MUST inform us if you, or anyone you live with, has experienced symptoms of COVID19 or had a positive test result in the preceding or subsequent 10 days after our appointment. The nature of our work means we may be exposed to many people, often vulnerable, so it is imperative we prevent the spread as much as possible. 

Wherever possible, in accordance with Government advice, we will work remotely via Zoom, or outdoors in a garden or public space. Failing that, depending on the current Government guidelines, we can work in a well ventilated area in your home, socially distancing as much as possible and following the guidelines below. 

Tier 1/Medium Alert Level:

Your session will go ahead as above in person as arranged

Tier 2/High Alert Level:

Your session will be held via Zoom unless the following conditions apply 

  • We are working on aggression, which left untreated may pose a risk to human health
  • We are working on a behavioural issue which, if left untreated, may pose a risk to the animal's welfare
  • We are working on behaviours time critical to stages of the animal's development, such as time critical puppy training
  • We are working on content previously addressed online that was ineffective
Tier 3/ Very High Alert Level:

Your session will be held via Zoom unless the following conditions apply 

  • We are working on aggression, which left untreated may pose a risk to human health

General Notes on In Person Sessions

  • We will sanitise hands etc prior and subsequent to attendance at your 121, and encourage you to do the same.

  • Masks will be worn during indoor sessions, if you feel more comfortable wearing one for outdoor sessions, do let us know and we are happy to oblige. 

  • Your details given at the time of booking will be passed to NHS Track and Trace where requested as we will have been in close contact if the session was conducted indoors.

  • We understand that you will all want to learn, however please limit the number of people at each appointment as much as possible. If there are due to be more than two persons present please let us know.
