121 Guidance for working during COVID19

IMPORTANT: You MUST inform us if you, or anyone you live with, has experienced symptoms of COVID19 or had a positive test result in the preceding or subsequent 10 days after our appointment. The nature of our work means we may be exposed to many people, often vulnerable, so it is imperative we prevent the spread as much as possible.

Wherever possible, in accordance with Government advice, we will work remotely via Zoom, or outdoors in a garden or public space. Failing that, depending on the current Government guidelines, we can work in a well ventilated area in your home, socially distancing as much as possible and following the guidelines below.

Tier 1/Medium Alert Level:

Your session will go ahead as above in person as arranged.

Tier 2/High Alert Level:

Your session will be held via Zoom unless the following conditions apply, and decided on a case by case basis:

  • We are working on aggression, which left untreated may pose a risk to human health
  • We are working on a behavioural issue which, if left untreated, may pose a risk to the animal's welfare
  • We are working on behaviours time critical to stages of the animal's development, such as time critical puppy training
  • We are working on content previously addressed online that was ineffective
If your session is in person we will adhere to the guidelines below.
All Group Classes remain in person as normal.
Tier 3/Very High Alert Level

Your session will be held via Zoom unless the following conditions apply:

  • We are working on aggression, which left untreated may pose a risk to human health
  • We are working on a behavioural issue which, if left untreated, may pose a risk to the animal's welfare
In this instance ALL sessions will be held outside in accordance with current Government advice.
Every new client will have to have an initial Zoom session before we can work in person (121 or group class).

Only ONE handler is allowed to be at the session, however we may be able to record the session so family members can learn.

All Group Classes remain in person as normal, however only one handler is allowed per dog.

Tier 4/Lockdown

As for Tier 3 for 121 sessions.

All Group Classes will revert to online sessions as per booking terms.
