Terms and Conditions for 121 Training

Here at Dogworthy we want training to be fun and effective, however we have some guidelines and house rules that you need to be aware of in order to make our classes comfortable and safe for everyone. Many of them are also necessary for insurance purposes.

SAFETY

1.1 It is your responsibility to disclose any information you have regarding any ANY aggression or reactivity issues in the past, either with dogs or humans or otherwise. Failure to do this may result in Dogworthy cancelling further training and forfeiture of all paid fees.

​

1.2 It is imperative that you follow any and all safety instructions from Dogworthy, especially following protocols prior to home visits. 

 

1.3 It is of vital importance that you inform Dogworthy if you, or any members of your household are suffering from any of the symptoms of COVID19 PRIOR to your session. Dogworthy staff uphold to do the same.

VENUE

2.1 121 sessions will be held in person, however if there are over arousal or aggression issues, or there is a Government imposed lockdown, involved Dogworthy reserves the right to convert sessions to Zoom in order to ensure safety, and prevent experimenter effect. 

​

2.2 Sessions will be held in your home, garden or a mutually agreed public venue. We can provide private training locations however extra charges will be incurred. 

​

2.3 Masks are not routinely worn unless advised by UK Government, but we are more than happy to do so at your request. 

​

CANCELLATION BY CLIENT

3.1 Session cancellations: you may cancel or amend a session with more than 2 full working days notice. Cancellations or with less than 2 full working days notice will incur the full session rate. Amendments with less than 2 full working days notice will be accomodated where possible, and will incur a £15 administration fee. 

​

3.2 Package cancellations: Entire remaining courses or sessions may be refunded with one week’s notice, however a £35 administration fee and 25% of the remainder fees per month (or part thereof) taken will be charged due to the level of support offered.

​

3.3 If any part of a behavioural package is taken, ie advice given verbally or in writing after written questionnaire has been submitted, the full cost of the session is due.

​

3.4 Unless there is written prior agreement from Dogworthy, all sessions will be taken within 90 days of date of booking, or money paid will become non refundable.

​

CANCELLATION BY DOGWORTHY

4.1 Dogworthy reserves the right to substitute a trainer with an appropriately qualified alternative. If the substitute trainer's usual rate is lower than the booked rate, a refund will be given. 

​

4.2 In the event of severely inclement weather, or UK Government advice explicitly advises against gatherings, sessions will be held via Zoom as opposed to in person, reschedules will NOT be offered. Please note we train in all but the most extreme weather, so if you feel you are going to want to change your session to Zoom please let us know with as much notice as possible.

TRAINING SESSIONS

5.1 Dogs are to wear preferably a harness, but if not a flat collar and lead. No choke or slip devices are allowed, include harnesses that tighten under pressure. No “flexi-leads,” fixed leads only. Dogs are to remain on lead at all times unless EXPLICITLY directed.

5.2 It is your responsibility to ensure the trainer is informed of any injuries, illnesses or allergies PRIOR to the commencement of class. This includes preference of foods as trainers may offer your dog treats during training.

​

5.3 If your bitch is in season, please let us know as soon as you believe she may be. It may not preclude you from sessions but it can alter the effectiveness of training.

EXPECTATIONS, LIABILITY AND LEGAL

6.1. All Training abides by the Dogworthy, APDT and IMDT code of ethics, and as such rough treatment or handling will not be tolerated. Dog welfare will always come first.

​

6.2 Your information will be held and used only in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2019.

​

6.3 Photography and video are an integral part of Dogworthy online and in person classes and sessions. This material remains the property of Dogworthy, and may be used for promotional purposes. Please contact us if you have any privacy concerns prior to the commencement of your session.

​

6.4 By completing any booking with Dogworthy, either online or in person, you are agreeing to adhere to the ongoing terms and conditions, and any and all future amendments. 

​

6.5 You agree that participation is at your own risk and agree that Dogworthy OR the venue are not responsible for damage, accident or injury to person, property or dog.

​

6.6 You understand that ALL advice given by Dogworthy in relation to your dog is specific to YOUR situation based on the information given at the time. Do not pass this information to others, as it may not be suitable. 

​

6.7 Dogworthy will not be held responsible for misuse or misinterpretation of advice given regarding your dog. 

​
